FIRST THINGS FIRST...

When starting in the music industry you need to break it down with what it is you are trying to do.
when trying to make beats you need to think..what is needed? how can i get it? what are the costs? is alot of work need?...there are alot more questions we can go on about but lets get some answers...
- in order to start making beats i recommend getting a decent computer.... to start off you wont need nothing fancy just something to get the job done..(remember once you master most things you can upgrade later.)

SOFTWARE/PROGRAMS
-second i recommend you get a pc because there is a lot you can do and is less expensive..which brings us to the software/programs you will need to compose these beats. one of the top programs that alot of producers and beat-makers use is FL Studio..it allows you to put together different sound and synths to create very good quality beats. you can upload different sounds you have got other than the sound channels it comes with. It also lets you record vocals to beats you have made which is good as a producer to have one program that can do it all..
you can check out FL Studio and download the demo...it doesnt expire and you can still make beats and export them..its just with the demo version you cant save and go back to them later...if you do save them you can only re-open them if the full version has been purchased ($100.00)
check it out..(safe to download)

MIDI CONTROLLER
another thing you will find you will need is a midi controller.
-this is a controller in piano keys or pads formation which will allow you to control the sounds and let you find the pattern you want for each beat. you can also hit the record button on your software and live record the notes or pads you are hitting.
if you have little experience or money i recommend something very basic such as the
AKAI LPK25...it is small, lightweight, and gets the job done...useful for a home studio or on the go.
go ahead and look that up or anything in the same range as it.

MIXER
-next i feel you will need a decent mixer. probably a 4 channel mixer would be best to start off with.
with the mixer you can connect it to your computer, speaker monitors, microphones, and anything else.
a mixer can cost a lot if you lookin for a really good one for a full studio but if you lookin for something basic that gets the job done it can cost as little as $50 bucks.

There is alot more to discus on the matter so please visit often.
next i will cover more on putting beats together and working in a studio or home studio.
dont forget to check out the free sounds and visit again for new ones to come!
